Weddings

Wedding ceremonies can be held either in the spacious Valley Suite which is dominated by an amazing feature wall of glass overlooking Holcombe Hill, or in the more intimate Nuttall Room, complete with a cosy wood-burning stove, perfect for a romantic winter wedding. 

The Valley Suite can cater for up to 140 guests for a wedding breakfast and also incorporates ‘The Loft’ which is a private room, available for the bride to use on the day of her wedding to escape, rest or change clothes.

Downstairs, the Ratcliffe Suite offers an alternative for the evening reception, opening out onto a spacious terrace, just made for scenic photographs. This fully-equipped suite with its own bar is also perfect for partying, a private and relaxing space for up to 160 evening guests.

Our Head Chef, has carefully prepared an innovative and flexible range of menus to suit every taste and budget, featuring classic and modern British dishes using locally sourced produce. For something that little bit different, we can even present a spectacular Sucking Pig Feast!

Evening buffet selections range from the simple to the sophisticated, all cooked in-house and featuring home-reared meats and fish. From the humble bacon muffin to a deluxe spread of delicacies, the attention to detail is the same, ensuring that top quality catering enhances the memorable occasion.

As part of the preparations, we also organise a private wine tasting to help the happy couple choose the perfect accompaniment to their wedding breakfast. 

Also with over 500 malt whiskies in house, newly-weds can choose an unusual tipple for their toast, or go with the more traditional Champagne option.
