Wine List

Predominantly a New World listing. From the mediterranean climate of South Western Australia to the beautiful mountain region of Paarl in South Africa, you can be assured that we have an excellent choice for the perfect food / wine combination. Interesting and individual, you will not find any of our wines in the local supermarkets.

Additionally for that special occasion, or if you just like the bubbles, our range of sparkling wines and champagnes complement all budgets.

A great Hennessy cognac is the result of many eaux-de-vie of different origins and ages, and with various characteristics, that are assembled over time by the master blender. So why not take advantage and enjoy the best of cognac as the ideal digestif to a meal at The Fisherman's Retreat.

Guest Ales

The Fisherman's Retreat maintains a constant selection of up to 5 beautifully kept real ales. With offerings from local breweries or the more renowned brands from around the country, the choice is appealing to all tastes.

The Fisherman’s Retreat always has available these two great award winning beers:

1. Timothy Taylor LANDLORD – A Classic Strong Pale Ale, Landlord has won more awards nationally than any other beer. This includes four times as Champion at the Brewers' International Exhibition and four times as CAMRA’s beer of the year. Refreshingly reliable, nationally renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale with a complex and hoppy aroma has real "Pulling Power" and stands out in any bar as the ideal regular. 4.3% ABV
2. Black Sheep ALE – Full flavoured premium bitter, with a rich fruity aroma. It is brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops giving a bittersweet malty taste, followed by Black Sheep' characteristic long, dry and bitter finish. 4.4% ABV
