Fishing
The WaterThere is a main 4 ½ acre fishing lake which runs from 2ft to 25ft in depth. The beautiful crystal clear water originates from the pennine moors and is continuously flowing through the lake. It is of such quality that brown trout have been known to hatch in the inlet stream. There are two smaller lakes and two ponds below the main water. These are used to home-rear the rainbow trout, which are served on The Fisherman’s Retreat menu. Fishing on these waters is strictly prohibited. Type of Fishing All methods and baits are proven to work well, and there are no limits or bans, however, to keep our fish healthy - no Carp to be kept in keep-nets and all fish to be handled with a wet towel.
