Burns Night Whisky Tasting

Join us on Friday 25th January 2019 to celebrate Burns Night with a taste tour through six hand picked single Scottish malt whiskies.
Upon arrival you will be greeted with a selection of Scottish themed canapés, shortly after you will hear the unmistakable sounds of bagpipes, heralding the start of the evening’s proceedings.
Firstly the traditional “Address to a Haggis” A poem written by Robert Burns to celebrate his appreciation of the Haggis.
Our guest speaker for the evening will be Michael Green, senior whisky specialist for Edrington-Beam Suntory, with his vast knowledge of the whisky industry he will guide you through each single malt on offer and also the process of what goes into making this wonderful spirit.
Along the way we will be giving you the chance to try your tongue at some Burns poetry before serving the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties supper and Clootie dumpling dessert which will be accompanied by the distinctive sounds of the Northenden pipe band.
As always the evening will conclude with a charity raffle with the chance of winning some fantastic ‘whisky themed’ raffle prizes in aid of Bury hospice.
This is a unique night that is not to be missed and an ideal Christmas present for the whisky lover.
