On Friday 25th April from 7.00pm we invite you to join us and celebrate our final Whisky Tasting of the season.
This will be an extra special tasting as Mickey Heads will be joining us all the way from the remote Scottish island of Islay.
Mickey Heads is the Distillery Manager at Ardbeg and with nearly 30 years of working in the whisky industry it is fair to say that Mickey has Scotch whisky running through his veins, having him here at The Fisherman’s Retreat to share his stories and experience will be a huge honour!
Your evening will begin with the sounds of bag pipes, before Mickey talks you through six fine Ardbeg single malts, one in particular will be an old Ardbeg distilled in 1978 which we have been saving for such an occasion, and now no longer available, once decided, the rest of the line up will be announced on our Facebook page in the coming weeks.
As always we will be supporting our local hospice in Bury, so you will have the chance of winning some fantastic ‘whisky themed’ raffle prizes, plus we will be holding an auction for a special bottle of Ardbeg.
To round off the evening you will be treated to a supper of haggis, neeps & tatties whilst the Northenden Pipe Band fill the room with the sounds of Scotland.
The evening promises to be interesting, entertaining and intoxicating. However, as always we do recommend you to drink responsibly!
This will be a unique ‘PEATY’ night not to be missed.
